Basic knowledge of Diabetes Symptoms –
Today we”ll be talking about the Diabetes Symptoms.
Can you even tell me that you are suffering from diabetes?
It is one of those diseases which have one the most silent and quick symptoms, so if you are a careless fellow you may find about it pretty late. In this article, we”ll talk about the disease called diabetes, its causes and even about some of its prevention. So basically some of its most common symptoms are high blood level of sugar in blood or in other words we can say that normal than the higher level of glucose.
The symptoms of diabetes are so mild that they are mainly unnoticed by most of the people. Especially in the case of Type two diabetes which we”ll discuss later on in the article. In Type one, the symptoms take place very quickly in a matter of days and they are even worse than the first.
Common Diabetes Symptoms-
Both types of diabetes have somewhat similar symptoms.
Increase in hunger and fatigue- The food we eat is converted into glucose which is then used by the cell for energy. For this process our body needs insulin. If our body stops producing insulin or starts resisting the produced insulin, the glucose won’t be able to reach in our cells hence, there would be no energy. This can make us feel hungry and tired most of the time.
Increase in urination- An average person urinates 4-7 times a day, but in the case of someone suffering from diabetes the number increases a lot.
But Why? Normally your body reabsorbs glucose as it passes through your kidneys. But when diabetes pushes your blood sugar up, your kidneys may not be able to bring it all back in. This causes the body to make more urine, and that takes fluids. Because of increase in urination, we would start feeling thirsty all the time.
Skin Problems- Due to increase in urination our body starts losing liquid quickly resulting in dryness of skin and itchiness. One would get easily dehydrated making our mouth feel dry.
Blurred vision- Changing fluid levels in your body could make the lenses in our eyes swell up. They change shape and lose their ability to focus.
The other type two symptoms-
Yeast formation- It is similar in both men and women suffering from diabetes. Yeast feeds on glucose
so having plenty around makes it thrive. Infections can grow in any warm, moist fold of skin, including:
- Between fingers and toes
- Under breasts
- In or around sex organs
Slow-healing sores or cuts- Over time, high blood sugar can affect your blood flow and cause nerve damage that makes it hard for your body to heal wounds.
Pain or numbness in your feet or legs- This is another result of nerve damage.
The other type one symptoms-
Sudden weight loss- If our body isn’t getting enough energy from the food we eat it will start burning energy resulting in weight loss. Due to this, we would start losing weight even if we eat a lot.
Nausea and vomiting- when our body resorts to burning fat it starts producing “ketones”, they can build up in our blood to a very dangerous level and even causing life-threatening complications. Ketones can make our stomach feel very sick.
